Lucy Hale and her older sister Maggie got matching tattoos inmemory of their late grandmother. The sisters bothinked “I love you” on their right forearm in their grandmother’s own handwriting. Lucy showed off the matching tatts on her instagram and wrote:

This tattoo, which they got inJuly 2018, is actually the second tattoo that Lucy and her sister got together to honor their grandmother. Shealready had a sun on her upper back.

Danielle Bregoli got the name “Josephine” tattooed on her ankle in honor of her great-grandmother Josephine Radford, who is her mom’s mom’s mom. Great Grandma JoJo, as Danielle calls her, lives in Brooklyn New York. She made an appearance via webcam in one of Dani’s YouTube videos where she attempts to read some Bhad Bhabie lyrics, though at 96 years old she struggles a bit.

Lucy Hale has a little sun tattoo on the left side of her upper back which matches the moon tattoo on her opposite side. It was the first of two tattoos that she shares with her sister Maggie. She told Refinery 29:
“I have a little, tiny sun that I got with my sister in honor of our grandmother.”
Whether coincidentally or intentionally, this tattoo sits near the “light” tattoo on her ribcage and the lightbulb on her upper arm (added later) which are both inspired by the fact that her name Lucy means light. The sun is of course another symbol of light.
